With just a few days left for the World Cup, the President supports the Sri Lankan team

In a bid to boost the players’ confidence ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with the Sri Lankan cricket team at the NCC Stadium yesterday (5) after their training session.

Sri Lanka enter the World Cup under pressure following a series of recent defeats and criticism from fans over their performance.

Against this backdrop, President Dissanayake personally visited the squad to encourage and reassure them as they prepare for their opening match of the tournament, scheduled for February 8.
