Sri Lanka women's all-rounder Devmi Vihanga has been ruled out of the Women's T20 Asia Cup due to a right knee injury.

Vihanga, who suffered an injury in a practice match, has not joined the Sri Lankan team that left for the UAE.

Left-arm spinner Nimasha Meepage has been called up to the Sri Lanka squad in her place. Meepage, who received her T20I cap in December 2025, has so far played 14 matches for Sri Lanka.

Chamari Atapattu will lead the team, while Harshita Samarawickrama will be the vice-captain. Kaushini Nutyangana is the only wicketkeeper in the squad.

Sri Lanka, who are in Group B of the Asia Cup, will face Bangladesh, Indonesia and the UAE. Sri Lanka's first match will be against the UAE on August 29.

Sri Lanka are the defending champions, having won the Asia Cup in 2024, defeating India in the final in Dambulla.
