The official ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 trophy tour was inaugurated tommorrow (21) at the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The tournament will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India.
The trophy will be displayed in Colombo, Kandy, Dambulla and Jaffna from January 21 to 24, giving fans the chance to view and take photographs with it. It will also be showcased during the Sri Lanka vs England ODI match at the R. Premadasa International Stadium.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will be held from 7 February to 8 March, with 20 teams participating. Sri Lanka will host 20 matches, including all games involving Pakistan, with the possibility of hosting the semi-final and final if Pakistan qualifies.
Matches in Sri Lanka will be played at the R. Premadasa International Stadium, Colombo SSC Ground, and Pallekele International Stadium. The event is expected to provide significant benefits to Sri Lanka’s economy, tourism, and international profile.
